Puteh & Kayu was born from a desire to bring modern and Nordic homeware designs to Sibu, overcoming the high shipping costs often associated with online shopping in East Malaysia. What started as a simple idea evolved into a renovated shoplot transformed into a curated home decor and lifestyle store.

Kayu was created to bring timeless minimalist designs to Sibu—

began as a simple idea has since evolved into a thoughtfully curated

FAQs:
- How long will it take to complete my order?
Completion time are varies, as it depends on the product, quantity, and
current queue. We typically prefer 4-7 days to ensure the highest quality
of craftsmanship. Feel free to reach out with your specific requirements,
and we’ll do our best to give you an estimated timeline.
2. Can I place a last-minute order?
Last-minute orders are subject to our current production schedule,
which is typically full at least 3 days ahead. Frames and plaques can be
prioritized with an RM10 fee, subject to slot availability.
3. Do you provide design services?
Yes, we offer simple designs based on our templates. For complex
designs, we recommend hiring a professional designer and sending us
the file for engraving.
4. What materials can you engrave?
We engrave on wood, acrylic, and glass. Contact us for specific
material inquiries. We can customize designs and product shapes
based on your preferences. However, customization may affect
the price and production time.
6. How do I place an order?
Contact us via WhatsApp or email with your details, product
requirements, and any design/logo files.
5. Can I get a refund or request changes after the
product is finished?
As custom engraving involves personalized work, we cannot offer
refunds. We encourage clients to carefully review and approve
the sample before production begins.

- All custom engraving frame orders
require a minimum of two weeks
before the scheduled
pickup/delivery date. Simple
engraving orders may be completed
within 1-2 days, but completion time
depends on order queue and
complexity. Rush orders are
discouraged to ensure careful
craftsmanship.
- To place an order, please also visit
our Facebook and Instagram pages
to view more samples. Once you've
selected a design, screenshot it and
send it to us for discussion.
- Before proceeding with engraving,
we will send you a draft for review.
Any changes requested after the
engraving process will incur an
additional cost.
- We do not offer delivery services
in the Sibu area. However, for
customers in this region, we can
outsource delivery through
available runners, with customers
covering the runner's fee.
Alternatively, we offer delivery via
courier and bus services, with
pricing determined by weight and
location.

- Service orders are accepted. Companies must issue a purchase order before we proceed with the order. Any changes to the order specifics must be made at least three days in advance.
- When providing your message for engraving, please ensure it is written as you want it, as we won't be responsible for spelling or grammar corrections.
Natural bamboo/wood may exhibit variations in
texture, knots, and color, making each piece unique.
Engraving reveals the inner bamboo/wood layer,
resulting in potentially uneven tones in the engraved
parts. This unevenness is akin to the natural variations
in tree and bamboo colors and is not indicative of
flawed wood or technical issues. If you have concerns
regarding these natural attributes, kindly refrain from
making a purchase.

Unexpected
feature
Back in June, we were approached by our local TV station, TVS, with an unexpected offer. They wanted our shop to be featured in their upcoming travelogue called "Ekspedisi Sumandak di Bumi Kenyalang." This travelogue aims to uncover some of the hidden gems in our local area and also share the story of a local beauty pageant queen. It's a pretty cool opportunity, we must say.
So, there we were, faced with the idea of our little shop being captured on camera for this TV program. It's not something that happens every day, and we couldn't be more grateful for the chance. Beyond the excitement, we see it as a way to spotlight not just our shop but also the charm of our local community. We're looking forward to seeing our shop on screen, and we're truly honored to be a part of this travelogue. Stay tuned, and we'll keep you updated on the air date!

Our first
concept
booth
Gratitude fills our hearts as we reflect on an incredible journey we embarked upon recently. From August 4th to 6th, 2023, we had the honor of introducing our very first concept booth at the University of Technology Sarawak (UTS). The experience was nothing short of remarkable. We were privileged to connect with so many wonderful individuals during those three days, exchanging stories, ideas, and forging new connections.
The feedback we received was truly invaluable, providing us with fresh perspectives that will undoubtedly shape our future endeavors. What's even more humbling is the recognition we've gained – people are now approaching us, curious about our physical store's location. This warm reception has ignited a fire within us, fueling our aspirations for the future. We can't help but eagerly anticipate what lies ahead, as we look forward to creating more of these memorable moments and sharing our passion with even more of you.

Visit to
Sibu
On the 11th of September 2023, His Majesty, The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, visited Sibu as part of His Majesty’s Kembara Kenali Borneo journey. We were thrilled to create a special engraved frame for His Majesty and Her Majesty, and we also had the opportunity to set up a booth in Dewan MUC, a place where His Majesty planned to dine during his visit.
On top of that, our booth was swarmed by many important people, and we were overjoyed to have the chance to introduce our small shop to a wider audience. We anxiously awaited His Majesty's visit, hoping that His Majesty would notice our framed gift and perhaps add his signature. Luckily, fate was on our side. His Majesty did notice us and graciously signed our frame. This moment is something we will forever hold dear in our hearts.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty for gracing Sibu with his esteemed presence, and for leaving us with a treasured memory that will endure in our hearts for generations to come. Thank you, Your Majesty, for this cherished moment in time!
